Rizzo (17) and Amy Quinn (16) were selected to the squad, which will compete at the Australian Championships in Melbourne in May to determine the final squad to compete at this year’s Commonwealth Games in Scotland.

Coach Krasi Yurukova said the competition would be strong between athletes hoping to make it into the final team.

‘It is their first competition at this level and they are very young in comparison to the other competitors,’ Yurukova said.

‘This will be a good experience for both of them.’
