Heat on for Singapore trio

Jason Nazareth (15), Ieesha Caton (14) and Lucie Martino (14) will be part of the 72-strong team competing at the 22nd International Athletics Championships later this month.

It will be Jason’s second time at the event, competing in 200m hurdles and high jump after coming third in both events at the recent WA State Championships.

The Dianella resident came third in both events at last year’s Kuala Lumpur international meet.

Ieesha, of Maylands, will compete in long jump and high jump events, and is hoping to earn a placing in both.

Lucie, of North Perth, will compete in the 1500m walk after earning a gold medal at the State Championships.

Each athlete is preparing for Singapore’s heat and humidity.
