PERTH THUNDER’s inaugural Pink Night raised a total of $6580 on Saturday, July 9.
The ice hockey team was able to make the donation to the McGrath Foundation, which provides support for thousands families affected by breast cancer, regardless of their circumstances, through the funding of specialised breast care nurses, with more than 110 of these nurses stationed throughout Australia.
Through the auction of game-worn jerseys, fundraising efforts on the day, and healthy donations from fans and sponsors CD Dodd, Haigh and Hastings, Equitem, Smooth Financial Services, Perth Ice Arena and Ryan Laurel Resourcing, the night was able to go exceed expectations.
