Evans produced several impressive performances for the Glory on a recent trip to South Africa, convincing coach Alistair Edwards and staff to offer the 23-year-old a short-term contract.
‘The South Africa trip was brilliant for the team and for me personally, I was effectively on trial and had to prove myself to Alistair Edwards and the rest of the coaching staff. I got quite a bit of game time with Alistair playing me in a few different positions and I felt that I held my own over there which was pleasing,’ Evans said.
He grew up playing for the Lions and said the club had helped him develop as a footballer as well as providing him with a supportive community as a young player.
