Bruce said the team was excited to play on its home ground this season.

“After two weeks on the road we can’t wait to get home,” she said.

“We know that the Perth crowd creates an awesome atmosphere and we can’t wait to get out there and play.”

Fever travelled to Adelaide and Sydney in the opening rounds of the competition, while the Firebirds haven’t left their home state, hosting the Lightning and Magpies in the first two rounds.

Both sides are still searching for their first win of the season and Bruce said the crowd would have a significant impact on the game.

“It makes a huge difference knowing that the crowd is behind you,” she said.

“We know the Perth crowd gets into it, so to have everyone there cheering us on would be phenomenal.”
