Netball: Scarborough claim glory in grand final win over Phantoms

SCARBOROUGH Netball Club won a thrilling grand final against Phantoms 37-35 in the Perth Netball Association open division one competition on the weekend.

Scarborough, playing in their fifth straight grand final, held the lead for most of the game but Phantoms challenged them during each quarter.

In the junior division one grand final, Methodist Ladies’ College beat City Beach Surfers 44-29 and Classics defeated City Beach 49-27 in the Year 7-8 grand final.

Lindal Rohde from Scarborough was awarded the Robyn Somers Medal (MVP) in open division one, MLC’s Annabel Saggers was MVP in the junior division one grand final and Penny Laufmann from Classics was best on ground in the Year 7-8 game.
