NETBALL WA has teamed with Youth Focus to provide free mental health education sessions for coaches, officials and volunteers during June and July.
The sessions are designed to equip attendees with the necessary skills to assist a player or peer in need to seek professional help.
Netball WA general manager of community netball Liz Booth said educating people about mental health would reduce the stigma.

READ NOW“Netball WA is committed to increasing the number of mentally healthy associations and clubs throughout the State and I’d encourage all of our coaches, officials and volunteers to engage in these sessions,” she said.
Upcoming sessions include:
Thursday, June 23 at Kalamunda & Districts Netball Association, Ray Owen Sports Centre
Monday, July 18 at Fremantle Netball Association, Frank Gibson Reserve
Monday, July 25 at Perth Netball Association, Matthews Netball Centre
Each session will run from 6.30pm-7.30pm and will be delivered by Youth Focus.
