TWO West Coast Fever players have been selected in the under-21 national squad ahead of the final team selection for the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup in Gaborone, Botswana.

Jessica Anstiss and Annika Lee-Jones will be joined by Fever training partner Sophie Garbin on the team.

The team was named following performances in Super Netball and Australian Netball League matches.

Anstiss has been a regular starter in the West Coast Fever line-up, while Lee-Jones made her National League debut in round 6 when she lined up against Caitlin Bassett.

Garbin has had an outstanding Australian Netball League season, smashing the record for most goals in a season, while being named MVP in last weekend’s Gold Medal Match.

Netball WA chief executive Simon Taylor congratulated the players.

“We are incredibly proud of our West Australian athletes, and this selection demonstrates the strength of our player pathways in our State,” he said.

The Australian World Youth Cup Team will be named later this month.
