Johnson will play in tomorrow’s clash with the Illawarra Hawks and the club’s intention is for him to see out the rest of the 2016-17 season in a Wildcats singlet.

After being released by Perth last week, the 24-year-old has continued to work out privately with the club’s assistant coaches.

He trained with the playing group on Wednesday.

“We’ve always said Jaron is a great guy and he’s basically remained a part of the group,” coach Trevor Gleeson said.

“The guys love him, what has happened is a part of being a professional. We’re happy to have him back.”

The Perth Wildcats take on Illawarra Hawks at 4.30pm tomorrow, WA time.
