Pow pleased to make Masters splash

Pow received the award at a recent MSWA AGM from president Gary Bradley alongside fellow recipients Ron Gray and Gordon Medcalf.

The awards night recognised the outstanding contributions made by the recipients to swimming and to the club.

Pow has been involved in swimming since 2002 when she became a referee, as well as mentoring trainee officials and conducting workshops over the years.

She said she was very happy when she received the award.

"I was very pleased and honoured because a lot of us volunteer with Masters and it's nice to be recognised," Pow said.

Pow said she had a lot of fond memories of Masters.

"It's been really good and to know that the award was for coaching, general officiating and as a referee means a lot," she said.

"It has been great getting to know swimmers from other clubs and it's nice that we're there to enable people to swim, break records and keeping people healthy at the same time."
