Soccer: Inglewood United looks to bounce back against Stirling Lions

A “DISAPPOINTING” draw with Cockburn City last weekend is acting as motivation for Inglewood United to record a better result against Stirling Lions this weekend.

Inglewood coach Taki Nicolaidis said the 4-4 draw against Cockburn was not the desired result, especially as Inglewood held a lead late in the second half.

“It was disappointing; we were in lead but they clawed their way back at the end,” he said.

“Their form has been hot and cold throughout the season, so this was an opportunity missed for us.”

Looking forward to the battle against Stirling tomorrow, Nicolaidis said his team was motivated for a win.

“The disappointing result last week has made us more aware and stronger; Stirling beat us the last time we played them after we had a guy sent off.

“But we will put our best foot forward.”

The game is at Macedonia Park, Balcatta from 3pm.
