Thundersticks head interstate for double-header

THE Perth Thundersticks mens and womens teams will be racking up the miles for their double-header fixtures this weekend.

They will play in Adelaide tonight and then fly on to Brisbane for a Sunday match.

Round 4 of the Sultana Bran Hockey One competition will see the Thundersticks take on Adelaide Fire at the State Hockey Centre on October 18, with the women pushing back at 7pm and the men at 8.30pm (local time).

The teams will then fly to Brisbane, where they will take on Brisbane Blaze at the State Hockey Centre on October 20 for round 5.

Start times are 1pm for the women and 2.30pm for the men (local time).

Both games will be broadcast live on Kayo Sports.

The Thundersticks named two travelling squads of 15 for the matches.

For the women, Phillipa Morgan will not travel while Jade Vanderzwan and Jolie Sertorio come into the side.

Liam Flynn is out for the men, with Alec Rasmussen and Brandon Gibbs stepping into the squad.
