The 12-year-old Mt Hawthorn Cardinals player was one of 23 boys selected for the 12s team that will compete in Darwin later this month.
‘I tried out with a few other boys who I knew, but none of them were selected. Since we started training as a team I have settled in quite well,’ he said. He describes himself as a midfielder but will be asked to play defence for the state team. ‘My aim is to play AFL football but I’m not sure what club I would like to play for,’ he said.
