WEST Coast Fever’s Championships finals hopes are still alive after a 23-goal win over Central Pulse at Perth Arena on Saturday.

The win saw Fever reclaim third position on the Australian Conference ladder, passing the Melbourne Vixens.

The 70-47 result in front of almost 7000 Fever fans was the biggest margin of the season to date.

Head Coach Stacey Rosman praised her side’s intensity across the four quarters.

“I think that was one of our most complete performances of the season,” she said.

“It was fantastic to win in that fashion, particularly to see us implement all the things we learnt from last week.

“We asserted our authority on that game today, in both attack and defence, and I think that is really important in terms of carrying momentum into the final round.”

Fever’s players will now focus on next week’s crucial clash away from home against reigning premiers Queensland Firebirds in Brisbane.

A win in Brisbane would secure a second consecutive ANZ Championship finals berth for the West Coast team.
