West Coast Fever record one-point win over NSW Swifts in Shae Brown’s 100th game

MIDCOURTER Shae Brown had two reasons to celebrate on the weekend.

The West Coast Fever team member played her 100th Championship game in which the team enjoyed a one-goal victory over the NSW Swifts at Newcastle Arena.

Brown said there was no better way to celebrate her milestone.

“Today was the start of our finals campaign and I’m so proud of the way we stepped up and delivered,” she said.

The win came off the back of an outstanding second half from Fever, recovering from a nervous start to ultimately outscore their opponents 31-26.

Fever now returns to Perth ahead of next weekend’s Australian Conference blockbuster against the Melbourne Vixens at Hisense Arena.

Fans have just one more opportunity to see the West Coast side in action at home this season, when they face the Central Pulse at Perth Arena on June 25.
