‘We haven’t worked out exactly how many people came yet, but it was definitely record numbers, especially on the Sunday,’ Avon Events and Marketing managing director Tanya Richardson said.

‘It went really well. People loved the cooking demonstrations and the degustation long table dinner.

‘We want to say a big thank you to the Shire of Northam.’

Ms Richardson said all the hotels in the area were booked out for the festival.

‘That was one of the biggest problems we faced,’ Ms Richardson said.

‘There’s definitely an opportunity there for hotels to benefit from the visiting crowds.

‘It is something to look at next year.’

Ms Richardson said more Avon Valley producers were exhibiting at the festival every year.

Shire of Northam President Steven Pollard attended the long table dinner event on Saturday night.

‘The dinner was excellent,’ Mr Pollard said. ‘The whole thing was absolutely brilliant and well received by everyone that attended.’
