Staff WriterHills Avon Valley Gazette

TOODYAY has the best dark night skies and The Space Place Observatory is the best place to check them out.

This Friday night the observatory, at 163 Howard Road, Julimar in Toodyay, is staging a star gazing event.

The cost is $55 for adults, $48 for seniors and $35 for a child and $168 for a family.

You can catch a train from Perth, or take a leisurely drive for the weekend and stay overnight at a nearby bed and breakfast or bring your caravan or tent and camp at the local caravan park.
