TWO artists will team up to host workshops on an ancient Indian textile printing technique next week.

Di Ditcham, of Thornlie, and Helen Jenke, of Lesmurdie, will teach the Dabu mud block printing technique on March 22 and 24.

“This ancient textile technique is still used today in Rajasthan, India,” Ditcham said.

“We will supply all materials, including the mud paste, indigo dye, printing blocks, fabric and paper.”

Participants will print on fabric and paper and learn to use household items as printing blocks. Tea and coffee will be provided.
