As a young artist, Forrest won prizes at the Gidgegannup Agricultural Show and later travelled around Australia before settling in the Goldfields with her husband Gordon.
She drew inspiration to re-establish her interest in art during time spent living in Kendenup, where the couple had full view of the Stirling Ranges.
Forrest signed for an art course and joined the Plantagenet Art Group in Mt Barker.
She went on to win prizes in the Plantagenet Agricultural Show and the Mt Barker Great Southern Art Trail.
Wineries, visitors centre and galleries in the region exhibited her collections in watercolour, acrylic, pastels and pencil.
Having recently returned to Perth, she entered an artwork in the Gidgegannup Agricultural Show and scooped second prize.
Her latest exhibition opens on Sunday, March 6 at Guildford Village Potters in Meadow Street.
