$100,000 rates prize draw

‘There are 12 prizes to be won in this year’s rates draw, with first prize a Ford Mondeo Zetec auto hatch, valued at $39,000,’ Cr |Zannino said.

Second prize is a Ford Fiesta Sport, valued at $23,660.

One of four holiday prizes is a 10-day trip to New York for two, valued at $11,000. There is also an $8000 trip for two for seven days to Tokyo.

Cr Zannino said it was |important for the city to collect rates early because they contributed to infrastructure and services, such as roads, parks, libraries, waste |collection and leisure |centres.

He said this year rates would be even easier to pay, with new options available, including Australia Post’s MyPost Digital Mailbox.

The secure, online system features a website and |mobile apps that allow ratepayers to receive rates notices, pay their accounts and store documents in one place.

Rates can also be paid using eServices gateway, in person at the city’s administration building in Midland, some city libraries, by phone, mail or at Australia Post.
