HOLYOAKE counselling and support services for people with alcohol and drug issues are now available in Mundaring and Ellenbrook.

The free outreach service, funded by WA Primary Health Alliance to July 2019, is offered at Mundaring GP Super Clinic and Ellen Stirling Medical Centre.

A Holyoake counsellor will be available up to two days a week in Mundaring and up to three days weekly in Ellenbrook.

Holyoake manages the North East Metro Community Alcohol and Drug Service to provide the individual, group and family service in Midland.

Holyoake chief executive Angie Paskevicius urged people affected by addictive alcohol and drug misuse to seek help.

“I encourage all those who are affected by alcohol and other drugs directly or indirectly to make the most of our locally based service,” she said.

“Reaching for help is the first step towards a life-changing experience.”

In 2013, the alcohol and drug support service launched a Wellbeing@Work program to address stress and unhealthy coping mechanisms.
