Apple pies recalled due to potential glass contamination

Staff WriterHills Avon Valley Gazette

APPLE pies sold under the Nannas brand have been recalled around Australia due to potential glass contamination.

The pies were sold at Coles, Woolworths, IGA’s, Foodlands and other independent supermarkets throughout Australia and have a best before dates of Oct 21, 2020 and Oct 22, 2020.

The contamination was caused by the manufacturer’s equipment error.

Food standards Australia New Zealand wrote that food products containing glass may cause injury if consumed.
