YOGA with goats and occasionally a lamb is bringing in the dollars to support an animal rescue centre in the Perth Hills.

Outdoor fitness with furry friends continues this weekend at Mt Helena’s Possum Valley Animal Sanctuary, topped off on April 21 with the charity’s annual cruelty-free wine and cheese event at South Perth Community Hall.

President Chris Rafferty said the night of fine dining was the sanctuary’s biggest fundraiser of the year with all funds going to help feed and care for the homestead’s brood of goats, sheep, roosters, donkeys, ducks, possums and other rescued housemates.

Book early for the popular yoga with goats sessions on April 14, 28 and May 5, or take the family on a tour of the centre on April 14.

A film crew from a Russian/Ukrainian travel show are visiting on Saturday to capture the goat yoga and sanctuary tour on camera.

For the young ones, there will be a special Good Night Possum Valley twilight children’s tour on April 28, featuring a reading of the sanctuary’s recently-published bedtime storybook of the same title.
