Bank launches appeal for victims

The Mundaring branch of the bank will kick it off with a donation of $10,000.

The appeal, to be run in association with the Salvation Army, aims to meet the needs of the fire-|ravaged community through a localised response.

Salvation Army spokesman Warren Palmer said the charity was working hard to meet immediate requirements of local residents and would then use the funds raised to support the longer-term recovery of the fire victims.

Donations can be made at any branch of the Bendigo Bank, or go online to salvationarmy.org.
