Bell and four others will be hanging their work at the gallery for the four-week exhibition After Eden, which opens on October 9.

“The stories can be interpreted in many ways; for example, leaving childhood and entering the adult world,” Bell said.

This is Bell’s second exhibition with Mezzanine Gallery.

“Bell’s work is endlessly interesting,” Mezzanine Gallery director Mark Alderson said.

“Her studies of nature are unique.”

Bell said her work reflected on the beautiful nature of the garden and the ever-changing nature of her work.

“My garden is a wonder of nature and mythology,” she said.

“In many mythologies, the garden is a serene place that is left for some reason and we can never return.

“But of course it has always changed.”

After Eden will be open each day from Saturday for a month at the gallery at 2 Montrose Avenue, Darlington.

The exhibition closes on November 8.
