ORIENTEERING WA is hoping for a good turnout at the Nav Dash series continuing on Saturday at John Forrest National Park in Hovea.
The Bibbulmum Orienteers organised the event, from 1pm to 4pm, and suitable for children aged from seven to elite athletes and mature-aged people up to 80 years of age.
Orienteering WA promotions officer Helen Post encouraged newcomers to have a go at the ‘thought sport’.
“Come and have fun with friends and family, and exercise your body and mind,” she said.
Those who take part will map read their way around a course through scenic bushland in the shortest time.

No experience or equipment is required to join and newcomers are guided through each event.
