THE new Pathway Program for people diagnosed with cancer will soon be available to Hills and Midland region residents.
Hosted at Cancer Council WA’s Hills/Midland Cancer Support Centre, the program gives cancer patients a chance to attend confidential support meetings and learn about effective ways to live with their diagnosis.
Meetings will include guest speakers who will cover a variety of topics including nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, family, work and complementary therapy.
Hills-Midland Cancer Support co-ordinator Christina Line said the program would provide an opportunity for cancer patients to address their greatest concerns.
“The Pathway Program provides and informal and relaxed environment to discuss various topics that concern people diagnosed with cancer,” Ms Line said.
The sessions also provide participants with an opportunity to share their experiences with people in similar situations.
