Organiser Liz Clarke said the childcare centre was inspired to host an Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea to raise money and awareness for the Cancer Council.

‘This is a cause close to our hearts as we actively encourage sun protection and are a registered Sun Smart centre,’ she said.

She said hunting through local op shops to find mismatched china, doilies and assorted old-fashioned hats for dress-ups was lots of fun.

‘The high tea props were a big hit, with children commenting that their grandmas had similar things at home,’ she said.
