From 6pm to 11pm, residents can burn small, 1m x 1m piles of garden waste without a permit, except on days of very high fire risk.
Chief executive Rhonda Hardy said restricted burning times varied according to seasonal change or conditions imposed at the discretion of the bush fire control officer.
Failure to comply with this notice may result in a penalty being issued, she said.
Residents are also reminded of the importance to notify neighbours prior to undertaking any burning of garden refuse.
Burning permits are available until November 30 from the bush fire control officer at the shire.
The shires fire-danger rating wheel displayed at roadsides provides advice about the level of bushfire threat on any given day.
