Chidlow tennis courts to be shut down

CHIDLOW tennis courts will be decommissioned by the Shire of Mundaring next month.

Tennis posts, nets and other infrastructure will be removed on September 4 and the lighting salvaged for future use.

The hardstand area will remain available to the public for activities such as basketball and four square games, an arrangement that will continue until the area is replaced with grass in 2020-21.

Mundaring Shire endorsed closure of the courts when councillors adopted the 2017-2018 business and financial plans at a meeting in July.
