Her Anglican flock are preparing the celebrations for the 100-year anniversary of their church, which had its foundation stone laid in June, 1914.

There is a centenary noticeboard which has been erected in the hallway of the parish centre, centenary merchandise including diaries and calendars, and a range of merchandise that will be released shortly.

Stories in Time is a book of reflections containing 100 stories of people who have been close to the church, which Ms Gilbert said would be a popular centenary keepsake.

Local artisans Joan and Charlie Smith have completed a design for a centenary sculpture of a dove which will be erected in the church grounds.

‘We hope this will be available by November,’ Ms Gilbert said.

There are also quiz nights, a gala lunch and a spring fair planned.

The 100-year celebrations will officially kick off next month. For more information go to mundaringanglicanparish.com.
