Lisa ThomasHills Avon Valley Gazette

The information session, which will include representatives from the Department of Agriculture and Food, Department of Fire and Emergency Services, The Red Cross, Rural Financial Counselling Service and Office of Emergency Management, will give people affected by the flooding a chance to ask questions about the clean up.

City of Swan staff will also be in attendance to provide support and information on environmental health, waste, community safety and economic development.

Mayor Mick Wainwright said anyone with questions or seeking information on the flood clean-up should attend.

“I would strongly encourage anyone impacted by recent flooding to attend the drop-in session, so they are able to get first-hand information on the services and help available,” he said.

“It will also allow them to come together, share their stories and show each other support.”

The session will be held at Baskerville Memorial Hall in the Swan Valley tomorrow from 4pm to 8pm.
