Parkerville residents Justin and Vanessa Anderson and their friends Michael and Hazel Arblaster will hit the road from Pinjarra on Friday, March 22 as part of the third Variety WA Creative Car Cruise.

The cruise will take the quartet, and the other rev-head participants, through picturesque country roads with stops in Bridgetown, Margaret River and Bunbury before they return home on Monday, March 25.

This year marks the second time the Andersons, who own the 1969 GT, have taken part and it is an event that they hold close to their hearts.

‘Our neighbour’s 15-year-old daughter has brittle bone disease and her family received funding so they could remodel the bathroom to allow for wheelchair access,’ Mr Anderson said.

For the Arblasters, this will be their first time taking part and they are looking forward to it.

‘We think it will be a lot of fun and one year we hope to be able to enter with our own car,’ Mr Arblaster said.

The Andersons had to fundraise for their entry into the cruise and will host a Poker Run in the Perth Hills tomorrow, recruiting many of their mates and fellow members of the Falcon GT Club of WA.

To donate to Variety WA via the Andersons, electronic transfers can be directed to Westpac Bank BSB 036-037, account number 34-6499. Car number 1969 must be nominated as the beneficiary of the donation.
