Scott Richardson (50) fell 10m at 11am while climbing with partner Meng Seet, and was stranded halfway down the cliff face at Boya Quarry.

The granite outcrop he fell from is a well-known practice area for rock climbers near Coulston and Hudman Roads in Greenmount.

Career Fire and Rescue Service firefighters and State Emergency Service volunteers used vertical rescue equipment to free him.
