Dancers step up to bring some cheer to High Wycombe

Kalamunda Performers principal Angela Jowett said to her knowledge no festive events were in the pipeline for High Wycombe this year.

Teachers from the Cyril Road dance school have volunteered to organise some entertainment. With the support of All You Need Is Right Here, Mrs Jowett is hoping local businesses will step forward and contribute towards the cost of a festive celebration.

“We need several thousands dollars to hire a stage, sound and lighting, and we’re hoping through your newspaper business owners will want to get involved,” Mrs Jowett said.

“In return, we offer exclusive advertising rights,” the dance teacher said.

The family-orientated picnic would feature live Christmas carols, dance performances and outdoor games from 5.30pm to 8pm on December 21 at Fleming Reserve.

The Shire of Kalamunda confirmed the public event was likely to be approved following standard checks.
