About 60 property owners in Stone Crescent, Lukin Avenue and Kookaburra Place will take part in activity designed to assist the simulated event.

Exercise Nyaania is part of the State’s regional emergency response requirements involving career and volunteer fire and rescue stations, volunteer bush fire brigades, Department of Fire and Emergency Services staff and Shire of Mundaring employees.

The simulated fire event will incorporate street assessments, structural triage and defence, task force deployment and operation, and community preparedness.

Mundaring Community Emergency Services manager Mark Casotti said residents would have opportunities to seek and provide feedback on bushfire preparedness during the training.
