Man in hospital after altercation at Darlington liquor store early this morning

A MAN has been taken to hospital after he was confronted at the Darlington Liquor and Gourmet store by two men early this morning.

Police said they were called to the commercial/residential property on Montrose Ave around 4.15am this morning.

A male occupant of the property was confronted by two men.

During the incident an altercation occurred which resulted in the victim receiving non-life threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital by St John Ambulance for treatment.

The offenders fled in a vehicle.

Local detectives are investigating the incident and have called for anyone who saw any suspicious persons or vehicles in the area around the time of the incident are asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
