The roadshow will include visits from the company’s rail safety ambassador Jack, along with an art activity and interactive online game Track Splat! for children to play.

Brookfield Rail corporate affairs manager Melanie Henley said Railfest was a great opportunity to learn about the history of the rail industry.

Exhibits and activities include a swap meet, model railway and heritage displays, guided tours of the museum, children’s activities and music.

The museum’s 60-year old diesel locomotive XA1405 Warienga will be fired up.
