THOUGH no longer producing vehicles in Australia, the Ford Motor Company will not be forgotten in WA.
At least 500 Ford owners from all over the State will assemble on Sunday, October 29, for All Ford Day to honour the car to which they are devoted.
The event will be held at Bassendean Oval, the home of the Swan Districts Football Club.
This charity fund-raiser will exhibit the rich history of Ford in Australia with a rare convoy of famous cars.
The Model T and Model A, vehicles which enabled Henry Ford to become the world’s most prolific car maker, will be among the exhibits. Vehicles from all eras, some worth half a million dollars each, will also attract strong interest.
The event is called Show n Shine.
The proceeds will assist Riding for the Disabled (Carine), Variety Bash, Constable Care and Men’s Suicide Prevention.
The event is open to the public from 10am. Family passes cost $20, adults $10 and children and concession holders free.There will be trade marquees and food stalls.
