First stage of Kalamunda’s community engagement activities for Forrestfield North completed

THE City of Kalamunda has completed the first stage of its community engagement activities for the development of local structure plans for Forrestfield North.

The Forrestfield North project team is in the early stages of developing detailed plans for the area to co-ordinate the subdivision and development around the Forrestfield train station in High Wycombe.

Mayor Andrew Waddell said more than 400 landowners and community members attended workshops and completed surveys.

“We took the approach of involving landowners and community members at this very early stage to ensure the draft structure plans are representative of community needs and desires,” he said.

Key features identified during consultation showed location, being close to employment, the city, transport and recreation, were important.
