FORRESTFIELD’s Max Andrzejewski may be only seven-years-old but he knows how to keep a promise.

The 1st Kalamunda joey scout made it his mission to collect dozens of items to fill 10 Constable Care comfort packs for children in need.

Branch Commissioner Jodi Bowman last month presented the young achiever with his first certificate and uniform badge at Walliston Scout Hall for achieving the promise challenge.

Ms Bowman said Max had made an “outstanding effort” as one of the youngest members of the group.

Max filled three large bags to the brim with donated books, toiletries and other items for children aged from newborn to 16-years-old.

The joey scout award scheme encourages participation through five badges, which represent caring and sharing, environment, adventure, buddy and promise challenges.
