THE Royal WA Historical Society is encouraging people to buy friends and family memberships to the non-profit organisation this Christmas.
Memberships to the volunteer-run group, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year, range from $70 to $1900 for a life membership.
Society vice-president Steve Errington bought his first membership in 1963 when he was 21.
“I always enjoyed history,” Dr Errington said. “I like early colonial history documents and delve in to old letter and records.”
After 10 years, Dr Errington bought a life membership.
Member benefits include access to a library of books, manuscripts, photographic and map collections, a museum with changing exhibitions of costumes and artefacts and monthly meetings featuring guest speakers. Email email@example.com.
