Hang glider killed near Merredin

A HANG glider has died from a crash near Merredin Saturday afternoon.

Police say the 50-year-old man had been practising for tomorrow’s WA Hang Gliding Championships when he crashed about 4pm in a paddock near the intersection of Logan and Warralakin roads about 50km north east of Merredin. He died at the scene.

Merredin police will investigate the cause of the crash with the Hang Gliding Federation of Australia.
