The train line is scheduled to be operating by 2020.

The State Government has asked the Shire of Kalamunda to explore opportunities that a new train station could bring to the surrounding areas through a new high-density, commercially-focused activity centre.

This means a move away from the industrial land uses previously proposed and a focus on urban uses.

A community workshop will be held at the High Wycombe Community and Recreation Centre on Thursday, June 1, 6.30pm to 9pm.

Landowners are encouraged to attend the forum and to complete the landowner survey, which will be sent out to affected properties soon.
