A GROWTH spurt led teenager Nakita Williams to become an international runway model and magazine cover girl with aspirations to be the next Gigi Hadid.

Standing almost 6 feet tall, the 16-year-old from High Wycombe made her New York Fashion Week debut last year after being invited to walk for Fremantle designer Azulant Akora.

Having only modelled for about two years at the time, the Darling Range Sport College student said the whole experience had been unbelievable.

“It was unreal and it was such a great experience for me to walk an international runway for the first time,” she said.

“I also got selected to walk for other designers from different countries as well.”

Since then, the teenager has walked the runways of Little Italy by the Sea and Eco Fashion Week before appearing in look books in Thailand and on the cover of Beauty and Hair Magazine Indonesia.

As an avid dancer and musical theatre student, Nakita said modelling was a natural step, especially after having a massive growth spurt at 13.

“By the end of year 2015 I had gotten really tall so my mum decided to enrolled me into modelling school,” she said.

“Now I’m going to work really hard to become a great model like Gigi Hadid and Miranda Kerr.

“My absolute dream would be to become a Victoria’s Secret angel.”

To further her modelling career, Nakita has entered Australian Supermodel of the Year and as part of the competition has been raising money for Canteen.
