Environment and sustainability co-ordinator Toni Burbidge said the Landscape and Revegetation Guidelines booklet, which promotes native plants, was a good tool for developers and residents.
“The booklet will be useful for people who are required to submit landscaping or revegetation plans as part of their development applications,” she said.
Mrs Burbidge said the booklet included pictures of species and a checklist for choosing correct plants for the property’s location.
“Residents can find their soil type on the Shire website and match that with suitable plants, trees, shrubs or grasses listed in the guide,” she said.
