Kmart recalls quad bike toy after claims it caught fire while charging

A REMOTE control quad bike toy sold at Kmart has been recalled amid claims it caught fire while charging.

The toy – sold under the name ATV Madness – was sold nationally between October 30 and December 27.

The USB charger supplied with the toy has been blamed for the fault.

The recall states that the charger can overheat and melt its plastic housing which could burn consumers.

Customers who bought the toy are encouraged to return it to their nearest Kmart store for a full refund.
