Lake Leschenaultia camping fees to change from July 1

Sarah BrookesHills Avon Valley Gazette

CAMPING fees at Lake Leschenaultia are set to change from July 1 with the introduction of a new fee structure at the popular site in Chidlow.

Changes to the new structure will benefit families and groups with several children camping overnight whereas adult campers and those camping for two or more nights will face a small fee increase.

Shire of Mundaring said a number of factors were considered when calculating the fees such as the camping ground’s prime location, its proximity to Perth and the high standard of facilities at the site.

These include barbecues, access to power and hot showers as well as Reflections Cafe, which just received its second consecutive Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence award for receiving consistently high reviews.

Camping fees will now be determined by the number of nights people choose to stay and how many adults and children are in their particular group.
