At just 19, the ambitious dancer has already travelled the country and the world, including Italy, unlocking dreams along the way but there is one huge one left to achieve ” a professional career in the Big Apple.

After a two-month stint in Melbourne performing in a season of The Nutcracker with the Melbourne Dance Theatre, Orgles has completed her fourth year of full-time ballet training and is waiting to go to New York at the end of September.

Orgles said her family had made countless financial sacrifices to help her live her dream, but this final step required an extra boost.

Despite a scholarship to attend the program, there was still a large shortfall and she hoped to receive community support.

‘I come from a single income family and to be able to dance in New York City I will need financial assistance to reach my dreams,’ she said.

A High Tea fundraiser will be held at the CWA Hall in Toodyay from 2pm on Sunday, June 22.

Tickets are available at Wendouree Tearooms Toodyay.

There will be a silent auction.
