Licensee pushes the envelope

Licensee Donelle Wallis, who has been in charge of the post office for the past nine years, is pushing Australia Post for permission to move about 5km to the Helena Valley shopping centre.

Two shop spaces have been earmarked as potential sites ” one on Helena Valley Road and another on Scott Street.

Ms Wallis said it made ‘perfect business sense’ to be more central in the region.

‘It is not unprecedented for a post office to relocate; I have had this on my mind for four or five years and I have applied to Australia Post before, but it was rejected,’ she said.
